Brand strategist with +18 years of experience in both traditional advertising and digital, Costin is mostly known for having founded The Geeks, a highly successful digital agency that merged into Publicis One, becoming Saatchi & Saatchi + The Geeks. Throughout his career, Costin has directly contributed to hundreds of successful advertising & digital projects, and educated hundreds of young marketeers in brand building & digital communication. For his activity, in 2010 and 2012, Costin received two Excellence Awards from the International Advertising Association (IAA Romania). In 2017, Costin wrote The Most Popular Commercial in Romania, according to YouTube Leaderboards.

Part of the most creative and efficient agency in Romania and CEE, Costin led the strategic work on P&G’s Tide in the Balkans, while working as a strategic planner for Leo Burnett, playing a major strategy role in Tide Supermom campaign for CEE, winner of the first Euro-Effie award received in Romania

Co-founded a student agency, growing from an initial team of three founders to an extended team of more than fifteen. Many of the members of the team later became high performant, award winning industry specialists.

Education & Other Activities

Costin achieved a Bachelor Degree in Communication and Public Relations (2001 – 2005) and has studied at The Institute of Direct Marketing (The IDM), London.

As a side activity to his industry roles, Costin has been an Associate Professor for more than 14 years, running various courses for The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA). He is now running the Digital Communication M.A. Program at National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA).

Founding member of the local branch of the international association of account planners, The Account Planning Group (APG). Keynote speaker at many marketing and communication events, being also part of the jury at all the major communication festivals in Romania.
